Your data, in plain words
Anthrie is only useful if you can trust it with everything. So here is exactly what it does.
This page describes what happens today, in early access. Where it describes something still coming, it says so. The legal version is our privacy policy.
Today · what it reads
What it reads
Only what you choose, from what your Mac's own apps already hold: Mail and the documents attached to it, Messages, calls from your iPhone, Calendar, Contacts, Reminders, the titles of your Notes, WhatsApp's notifications, and the names of files in the folders you pick. Before it asks macOS for any permission, it shows you each source, why it would read it, and what it will never do with it, and you switch off whatever you'd rather keep out.
It reads things where they are. Nothing is moved, copied into your folders, or deleted.
Some things it never opens at all: bank and card statements, files that hold passwords, keys or certificates, and anything in a folder kept for secrets. If a code or a password turns up inside a message, it is read with that message, on your Mac, and goes nowhere else.
Today · where it keeps it
Where it keeps what it learns
On your Mac, encrypted with a key that only your Mac can unlock. The one part kept another way is the list of words Anthrie searches by, which your Mac's own FileVault encryption protects, so keep FileVault on.
In early access, nothing Anthrie reads or learns leaves your Mac. It understands what arrives and answers you with Apple's models on your Mac, it hears you on your Mac alone and never keeps the audio, and no cloud model or server of ours sees your data.
Thinking in the cloud is paused, on every Mac, our founder's included. When it resumes, it will be on his own Mac only, as a test of whether a stronger cloud model thinks better. There, by his own choice, anything except secrets may go, one item or one situation at a time, to a model that keeps no copy and never trains on it, and every call is logged on that Mac. An early-access Mac cannot be set up this way, and a cloud model will never be used with your data unless we have told you first and you have switched it on.
Today · who can see it
Who can see it
You. No person at Intellumia reads your data. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train anyone's AI.
Today · what it does
What it does, and what it never does
- In early access, it only reads. It never sends, pays, signs, books or deletes anything.
- It never moves money on its own, never deletes anything of yours, and never sends on your personal WhatsApp.
Today · your control
How you stay in control
- Switch any source off at any time; Anthrie stops opening it at once.
- See, for each source, how much Anthrie has read and what it was used for.
- Tell it when it's wrong, in a sentence: “remember, Rahul is my co-founder”. Your word wins over anything it has read.
- Erase everything Anthrie keeps on your Mac (its memory, its search, its keys) in one click. Your own mail, messages and files are never touched.
How it thinks
All the work happens behind the calm
You never see the machinery. You see the few things that need you, from someone who already knows the context.
- It remembers the way you would. Who said what, and when. When the meeting moves to Monday, Thursday stops being true. When a lease is renewed, you get the new one, not last year’s.
- It learns what matters to you. Who you answer first, what you always handle yourself, what can wait. Learned on your own Mac, and never shared.
- Your word is final. Tell it once, in a sentence. Nothing it reads or learns can overrule you.
- It checks before it tells you. Every answer says where it came from. If nothing it has supports an answer, it says it doesn’t know.
Where it’s going
It earns your trust the way a person does
Nobody hands a new chief of staff the keys on the first day. Anthrie earns more of your life one step at a time, and only as far as you say.
- It learns. It reads, understands and remembers your life, and brings you what needs you. This is early access.
- It prepares. Replies, follow-ups and forms, ready for your yes.
- It acts, where you’ve said it may. One kind of task at a time, each one logged, each one yours to take back.
- It works with theirs. One day your chief of staff will settle the meeting or the handover with theirs, while you both get on with your day.
When this arrives
The rules for what comes next
Some of what we're building needs more than your Mac. None of it is in early access yet. When each part arrives, it follows the same rules, and it is off until you switch it on:
- Zero retention. Any model or service that processes your data keeps no copy of it and never trains on it. The only exception is a short-lived cache in memory, for a few minutes, that speeds up the next answer.
- Health and money never leave your Mac. Not to a cloud model, not to another device.
- Your key. Anything ever stored away from your Mac is sealed so that only your Anthrie can open it.
- Logged. You can see every service and model that handled your data, when, and why.
- Nothing of yours deleted, and money always asks.
iPhone, Apple Watch and iPad
They will show you what needs you and take your yes. What they receive from your Mac is sealed end to end with your key; nothing about health or money is sent to them.
Follow-ups and acting on your behalf
Follow-ups go from Anthrie's own address, as your chief of staff, with you copied, and never pretend to be you. Anything final (a reply, a payment, a signature) waits for your clear yes or one informed tap, showing who it goes to, what it says, why, and what happens next, until you hand that kind of task over. You can take it back at any time.
Direct connections to your accounts
If you connect Google or Microsoft directly, Anthrie reads only what you authorise, for you alone, under the rules above.
Before any of this arrives, we will update this page and our privacy policy, and tell you in the app.
